Carbon Neutral
CMA Electrical are dedicated to ensuring all carbon emitted by us carrying out works is minimised through Carbon neutral emissions.
To ensure this the owners of CMA Electrical recently purchased over 5 hectares of land west of Whangarei with over 150 trees to offset the carbon emissions we produce, these trees have already trapped over a 100 Tonnes of CO2 in their life to date, and with the pledge for every job carried out by CMA Electrical in return we will plant a range of plants from grasses, shrubs and trees both native and plants beneficial to native wildlife.
Dependant on the size of the works, and carbon emissions created to ensure we maintain zero carbon emissions:
- Small jobs minimum of 1 plant.
- Larger jobs have up to 100 plants/trees planted to offset carbon emissions.
- PV Solar Installation Minimum of 50 Plants.
Currently we have planted over 600 plants in the last 9 months alone and our aim is to reach 5000 plants by 2020 this will dramatically help the environment and ensure we maintain zero emissions, whilst maintaining the environment and providing homes for wildlife and insects including Bees, which are seeing a massive decline around the world.
We carry out planting between April-September to ensure the plants receive enough water during the first few weeks of planting.
Plants keep the world alive, so now it is time to keep the plants alive.
